Vail Dance Festival

The Vail Dance Festival is in full swing with plenty of performances to see and events to participate in. From dancing with the pros at Dancing in the Streets and listening in on podcast recordings to seeing collaborations and new works at the International Evenings of Dance, there’s a ton of events on this weekend’s Vail Dance calendar.

“You won’t want to miss the legendary International Evenings of Dance this weekend with three unique programs packed with unforgettable performances and a host of Festival debuts including Chloé Misseldine of American Ballet Theatre and Ryan Tomash from the Royal Danish Ballet who is now joining New York City Ballet, a new work by Tiler Peck, and appearances by today’s most exciting dancers from ballet to tap to modern and more,” said Damian Woetzel, artistic director of the Vail Dance Festival.

Celebrate the Beat opens up the night on Friday with a high-energy performance featuring local Eagle County students. These kids have been working hard perfecting their moves in this free program that allows them to share the stage with Vail Dance Festival stars.

“On Sunday innovation takes center stage with the festival debut of A.I.M by Kyle Abraham at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek,” Woetzel said.

Earlier on Sunday, join in on the fun with Dancing in the Streets, which takes place literally on the streets of Vail, on the corner of Bridge Street and Gore Creek Drive. Members of BalletX will host an interactive pop-up performance where you get to be a part of the action. For tickets, information on shows and artists, go to .
