Beaver Creek’s Fourth of July fireworks show will proceed as planned, according to an email sent from resort officials on Tuesday.
That makes for four different fireworks displays in the Vail Valley heading into the holiday, with Avon and Gypsum set to launch fireworks on Thursday, July 3, and Vail and Beaver Creek set to do so on July 4.
“Given this year’s conditions, we approached the fireworks decision with an abundance of caution,” said Jim Clancy, the executive director of Beaver Creek Resort Co., in a statement. “In close partnership with the Eagle River Fire Protection District and Beaver Creek Mountain Operations, we’re excited to share that the fireworks will proceed as planned for the July 4th holiday. We’ll see you Friday!”
Friday’s festivities include a kids’ area, a youth entertainment stage in the village, food trucks, fireworks and a day full of live music starting at noon with DJ Pippen. The Tonewood Stringband (2-3:30), Darling Revival (4-5:30), The Powell Brothers (6 pm – 7:30 pm) and Jerrod Niemann (8-9:30 p.m.) will all play the main stage before fireworks go off at 9:30 p.m.
The family stage fun starts at 1 p.m. and includes Colorado hip hop performances, magic performances and Peter Irish performances up to 4:45 p.m.
