Who do you think has the best burger? What’s your favorite ski run? Where would you take your car if it needed to be serviced? All those questions will be answered in this year’s Best of Vail Valley contest, the Vail Daily’s annual readers’ poll that covers categories like services, restaurants and bars, health and wellness, retail, and arts and activities.

“The Best of Vail Valley is a time to celebrate the remarkable place we live, and the businesses that we endeavor in. So, it’s up to them to take advantage of this opportunity to market their best practices, their unique selling propositions and celebrate with the community why we should be visiting them,” said Bob Brown, publisher of the Vail Daily.

Voting will start in August and top businesses will be announced in October with a magazine that will hit newsstands and be on display all year long. Winners will also be listed online. Businesses that take top honors will receive a certificate that they can display at their place of business and the titles last for a year until the next Best of Vail Valley contest happens. Many businesses have the certificates posted for each year they have won proudly hung on their walls.

The Best of the Vail Valley magazine and website is a great resource for locals, second home owners, and visitors alike when making decisions on where to dine, what festivals not to miss, and where to shop and more.

“The Best of Vail Valley is a really great resource to take advantage of,” said Avery Begg, a local high school graduate who is working at the Vail Daily this summer as an intern before heading off to her freshman year at Clemson University. “The community that we have here within the valley is just really special, and I think that these businesses demonstrate the best we have to offer.”
