Eagle County airport lands another direct flight for winter season
Flight will run daily from Dec. 18 through Jan. 5, 2026

The winter flights just keep coming for . On Tuesday, airport officials announced new seasonal nonstop service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, operated by American Airlines, from Dec. 18 through Jan. 5, 2026.
The addition brings Eagle County to 16 nonstop winter destinations.
American Airlines will operate the daily seasonal service during the peak holiday travel period, utilizing an Airbus A319.
“Adding Charlotte to our winter lineup with American Airlines is a monumental step forward for (the airport),” Eagle County Aviation Director David Reid said in a news release. “This new route not only expands our reach to a vital American Airlines hub but also reinforces our dedication to ensuring unparalleled access to Eagle County. With this new service, we are offering more convenience and options than ever before for our visitors and residents.”
American Airlines’ new service to Charlotte provides one-stop access from numerous cities throughout the Eastern United States and internationally.

“We’re thrilled to welcome American Airlines’ new seasonal service from Charlotte to Eagle County,” Vail Valley Partnership President and CEO Chris Romer said. “This new route enhances access to our mountain communities and makes it even easier for guests to experience everything our region has to offer during the holiday season.”
“American is excited to offer service to seven destinations from EGE this holiday season with new flights to Charlotte,” said Jordan Pack, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning. “Travelers can enjoy seamless connections to Eagle County from more than 350 destinations around the world with a single stop.”
Flights will depart daily at 9 a.m. from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and arrive at Eagle County Regional Airport at 11:10 a.m. The return flight will leave Eagle County Regional Airport at 11:55 a.m. and arrive at Charlotte Douglas International Airport at 4:45 p.m.

Tickets for the new service are expected to be available for purchase starting Monday, July7, on . The minimum revenue guarantee program, which supports many new routes into Eagle County, is supported by Core Transit and the EGE Air Alliance. The program is a public-private partnership dedicated to securing and maintaining air service to Eagle County Regional Airport.
